Scarlett
Profile
Rebecca’s mother, addressed as “Lady Scarlett.” A Riku princess (Riku) — daughter of the deposed “old king” of Dressrosa — described by the one-legged toy soldier as “once a very special and powerful person.” In flashback (~10 years ago) she sells flowers with the young Rebecca until Doflamingo’s coup; fleeing a manhunt through a flower field, she leaves Rebecca to buy bread and is shot and killed off-page. The wounded toy soldier delivers her dying gift (the bread) and her last wish to her daughter. Her royal blood is the reason the new king hunts Rebecca.

- Diamante confesses, to Rebecca’s face, that he is the one who shot Scarlett to death — “It was me!!! …who shot your mother to death” (p. 13). Recontextualizes her death (a memory-wiped royal army shooting her in the @0742 flashback) as Diamante’s own act.

last_appearanceunchanged — Scarlett does not appear on-page this chapter.)
Dressrosa — the dwarves’ memories of Lady Scarlet (Ch. 756)
- Flashback (pp. 6–7): the Tontatta dwarves remember Lady Scarlet’s kindness — she comforted them when King Riku sent them to the punishment room for pranks, let them touch and eat the palace fruit, and apologized on their behalf. “We all loved… Lady Scarlet… so vewy much!!” Restates that she is Rebecca’s mother.
Dressrosa — Scarlet’s full story, shown (Ch. 742)
- The Kyros flashback shows her in full as First Princess of Dressrosa (caption “Scarlet, age 16,” p. 4), eldest daughter of King Riku and elder sister of Viola.
- First reviling Kyros as a murderer, she falls in love with him; King Riku stages her death by “fever,” declares her “no longer royalty,” and lets the commoner ex-criminal marry her. Their daughter is Rebecca (p. 7).
- During Doflamingo’s coup she flees to the promised Red Flower Field and is shot dead by the memory-wiped royal army; the toy Kyros, erased from her memory, cannot save her (“these tin arms of mine…”, pp. 12–13).

- The wounded one-legged toy soldier brings Rebecca the bread and Scarlett’s dying wish, confessing “I couldn’t save your mother.”
Dressrosa — the cover story (Ch. 796) — referenced, not shown
- The official Dressrosa rumor holds that Lady Scarlet “ran off and eloped with a prince from a far-off land”; King Riku recalls “how stubborn Scarlet was in her younger days.” She is named/referenced only — not depicted (pp. 7–9).
