Profile
A top-hatted, winged servant-creature of Thriller Bark who sneaks up behind the lost Straw Hats and announces, “My name is Hildon” (Ch. 444 p. 19). He warns that “the night has only begun” and that the forest will soon become “so dangerous it will seem to be not of this world,” then offers to carry the trio by carriage to the mansion of his master, Dr. Hogback.

- Appears behind Nami, Usopp and Tony Tony Chopper in the forest; introduces himself and warns the night is only beginning (p. 19).

Thriller Bark (Ch. 445) — the carriage is the lure; reveals his true bat-creature form
- Drives Nami, Usopp and Tony Tony Chopper through the fog forest toward Dr. Hogback’s mansion, soothing them (“It’s safe there”) (pp. 4-9).
- When the spooked trio demand to return to shore, he obliges by abandoning them in the middle of a cemetery, reveals himself to be a winged bat-creature, and flaps off cackling (“Hee hee hee…!”) as the graveyard zombies rise (pp. 10-12). Thriller Bark (Ch. 447) — the smooth-talking guide inside the mansion
- Reappears inside Hogback’s Mansion as a polished guide, offering to “guide” the trio to the bedroom; they refuse him (“More like guide us to the underworld!”). Mocked by Perona for getting “shot down” (pp. 10-11).
Thriller Bark (Ch. 454) — messenger relaying Moria’s summons
- Named as the messenger relaying that “Master Moria is calling for the Mysterious Three” (p. 7) — summoning the Masters to Gecko Moria.
