Summary

On the Bridge of Hesitation, the World Government’s Buster Call finally deploys: nine warships steam into position around the bridge while Marine loudspeakers broadcast the order to recapture Nico Robin and annihilate the Straw Hats — “lawlessness cannot be left to flourish in this world.” The Marine ranks are shaken to learn the fleet carries an elite 200, each captain or lieutenant “the same rank as that guy Smoker.” Aboard the bridge, the wounded Straw Hats (Zoro, Nami, Robin, Franky, Chopper) hold the line against the marine onslaught while taunting that they’re only hostages “until Luffy gets here.” Sanji is suddenly nowhere to be found. Off on the courthouse-tower ruins, Luffy presses his fight with Rob Lucci: Lucci notes that Luffy’s “fuel injection technique” (Gear Second) is losing its edge as the steam runs down, and frames the World Government’s pursuit as “dark justice” — even if the whole island disappears, he will hunt the woman who obstructed the government to the ends of the earth. Luffy counters that the crew came to free Robin, and lands Jet Stamp followed by Six King Pistol on Lucci. A booming rumble from the bridge interrupts — Luffy’s name is shouted across the gap as the chapter cuts on a cliffhanger.
