- **手長族 Tenaga-zoku** = 'Long-Arm Tribe' (VIZ: 'Longarm Tribe'). Based on the Japanese/Chinese legendary being **Tenaga-jin** (手長人, 'long-armed one'), traditionally paired with the long-legged **Ashinaga-jin** as **Ashinaga-tenaga** (足長手長, 'Long-Legs-Long-Arms') — a folkloric duo who fish together, the long-arm riding the long-legs into the sea. The tribe's double-elbow anatomy literalizes the 'long arm' conceit.
