- 剣山島 Kenzan-tō (VIZ 'Sword Mountain Island'). 剣山 kenzan = literally 'sword mountain' — the island (in Paradise) has valleys flanked by sword-blade-shaped peaks and is ringed by whirlpools (One Piece Wiki, Trivia). It is the homeland of the Longarm Tribe, whose realm is the テーナ・ゲーナ王国 Tēna Gēna Ōkoku (VIZ 'Longarm Kingdom') — a pun on 手長ーな te-nagēna ≈ 'arms are sooo long.' Real-world echo: 剣山 is also the name of Mount Tsurugi (Tsurugi-san), a sacred peak in Tokushima/Shikoku, and of the spiked metal flower-frog (kenzan) used in ikebana — both literally 'sword mountain.'

First shown in Ch. 596, where a traveling freak show exhibits the scattered Brook as a single-jointed “skeleton” curiosity to the double-jointed long-armed crowd.
