The Gourmet Knight, head chef of the Big Mom Pirates. First appears in the Great Kitchen on the 8th floor of Whole Cake Chateau (p. 3), singing over the wedding cake (“You all deserve a nice, sweet cake… HEAD CHEF!!”). Title box: “Big Mom Pirates Head Chef — Gourmet Knight Streusen.”

Rocks-Pirates flashback (Ch. 1156) — shown young (deep flashback)

• Shown in the pre-God-Valley Rocks Pirates as Linlin’s partner, keeping the “dreams” talk alive about the Galleila legend: “Good point!! They ain’t comin’ back to life. Shuddup!! We’re talkin’ about dreams here!!” (p. 16) — an early on-page beat of the Streusen–Linlin bond decades before Whole Cake.

Whole Cake Island — the secret recipe behind the rescue cake (Ch. 880)

• Credited as architect of the wedding cake’s week-long secret recipe and its “secret ingredient” (p. 7). On the rescue bake at Chocolat Town he performs the “secret step” — “I’m gonna show you all how the true essence of sweetness can drive people to absolute bliss!!” — and pledges his “special ascending-to-heaven fluffy chiffon cake” (p. 8–9).

Whole Cake Island — saves everyone, unconscious for days (Ch. 873)

• As head chef and “the only man who can re-create that cake,” Streusen saved everyone’s life with the cake-conversion during Big Mom’s rampage, but his own landing was “rather catastrophic” — he will not recover “for days,” leaving the family with no baker for the wedding cake (pp. 7, 11). This is the crisis that pushes Pudding to volunteer the re-bake plan.

Whole Cake Island — the Chateau becomes cake (Ch. 872)

• As the Tamatebox detonation collapses Whole Cake Chateau, Streusen sings (“There is no thick and fluffy life…”) and casts “Metamorphosis!!!” (Cook-Cook Fruit), converting the falling structure into an enormous cake of cream and sponge that cushions the fall — the castle is now “an actual cake,” saving the city (p. 11, pp. 12-17).
• Bege notes “He’s always been a mystery to me — he should be pretty tough in a fight” (p. 17); a minister grumbles the sweets he makes “might fill your tummy, but they don’t taste good” (p. 15).

Whole Cake Island — the origin flashback: the meeting that founded the crew; the Cook-Cook Fruit named (Ch. 868)

• Origin flashback (63 years ago). A failed pirate cook stranded on the island of the Sheep’s House, Streusen witnesses the starving child Linlin’s rampage, finds her fascinating, and chooses to feed and stay with her — “the meeting that launched the eventual Big Mom Pirates” (pp. 4-5).
• His Cook-Cook Fruit is named on-page — it turns any object into food (he demonstrates on debris/wood while feeding Linlin, p. 4), the power that underpins Totto Land’s edible economy.
• Gives voice to the “land of dreams where everyone is at the same eye level / all races coexist” (pp. 8-10), which child Linlin adopts as the country she’ll build “that Mother would like” — the on-page origin of Big Mom’s Dream.

Whole Cake Island (Ch. 862) — unveils the wedding cake

• Prepares and unveils the towering Sanji–Pudding wedding cake atop which the altar sits (pp. 3-5). Big Mom praises him (“Fantastic work, Streusen!! My compliments to the chef!!”); he answers deferentially “I am not worthy!!” (pp. 4-5).
