Arc-by-arc updates
Egghead-era — recovery at G-14 (Ch. 1061)
- Shown at Naval Branch G-14 under Tashigi’s care, visibly shrinking back toward normal size — “I think I’ve shrunk a lot so far!!” — taking the (bad-tasting) medicine (p. 10). On-page payoff that the gigantified Punk Hazard children are being cured. See Punk Hazard’s Captive Children.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 696) — survived, but comatose
- Confirmed alive but still unconscious — the children recall she “coughed up blood and fainted” after fighting to keep the candy from the others (“She was fighting to keep us safe, right?”, p. 9). Whether she will wake is left open. Cross-link Punk Hazard’s Captive Children.
Punk Hazard — escape (Ch. 693)
Punk Hazard (Ch. 692) — carried through the gas evacuation
- Carried unconscious by Chopper through the escape (“Hang in there, Mocha!!”); the rescue of the captive children is being raced against the spreading gas (p. 8, p. 11). See Punk Hazard’s Captive Children.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 691) — rushed to Structure R for treatment
- Still down from the candy overdose; Chopper rushes her to Structure R for treatment (p. 7). See Punk Hazard’s Captive Children.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 688) — her sacrifice
- Entrusted by Chopper to carry the whole Biscuits-Room candy stash to safety, Mocha is cornered by the candy-crazed children; rather than surrender the addictive poison, she eats the entire stash herself (“CHOMP!!”, p6) and swallows it (“GULP!!”, p7).
- She overdoses, collapsing and coughing blood (pp14–15). Chopper: “Mocha sacrificed herself to save you from its evil effects!!” (p15). Carried to an examination room as Chopper vows to cure her (“You’re going to be a grown-up one day, I swear it!!!”, p18).
- Flashback (pp8–14) shows Chopper telling her and the children the truth about the candy and asking her by name to “protect the biscuits room candy for me, Mocha.”
Punk Hazard (Ch. 686) — takes the candy to save the others
- Seizes all of Caesar’s drugged “candy” and refuses to give it back — “Chopper told me… just what kind of candy this really is!! Nobody should be eating this candy!! Please go back to being your ordinary selves!!” (p. 4) — trying to force the addicted children off the NHC10 drug to save them.
- Put “in terrible danger” as the other children chase her down for the candy (p. 3); shown in flashback being told by the children “You don’t want your mom and dad to die, do you?” (p. 4).
- The pivot of the children’s rescue. See Punk Hazard’s Captive Children.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 685) — still resisting the candy
- The lone candy-resisting child, shown running with the others (“Run for it, Mocha!!!”, p. 17) and trying to draw the addicted kids off the candy (“No, everyone!! You have to snap out of it!!”, p. 18) until Robin arrives.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 683) — the linchpin child; the others turn on her
- The lone candy-resisting child, working with Chopper to stop the others (“There’s a girl named Mocha who’s kept her senses and helped me out”, p. 11).
- Tries to rally the addicted children — “We can’t go home if we don’t listen to them!!” (p. 12) — but they turn on her, accusing her of hoarding the candy (p. 13).
- Cornered at the blocked exit, she begs Monet for help, not yet realizing Monet is the enemy (“It’s Miss Monet!! Please help me!!”, p. 13).
Punk Hazard (Ch. 675) — the child who refuses the candy
- Terrified of the lab, Mocha refuses her drugged candy despite withdrawal and throws herself out a high door to escape rather than return (“No… I’m leaving!!”, “Nice guy and lady!! I’m so sorry I didn’t listen to you!!”, pp. 4-5) — the first captive child shown breaking the drug-control.
Punk Hazard (Ch. 665) — named; collapses in withdrawal
- Named on-page when she collapses in NHC10 withdrawal alongside the other big
children (p. 5). (
