Chapter 315: Secret Room

This chapter's foreshadowing ledger — what it plants, what it pays off, and what debuts here. Locked seeds pay off beyond your ⚓ progress; tap one to reveal it anyway.

Firsts
  • Round 3 (Combat) of the Davy Back Fight runs as a brawl across — and then inside — Foxy's ship the Sexy Foxy; the combat field 'moves below deck' so the cannon-shot circle now encloses the ship's interior, turning the duel into an isolated man-to-man battle in a maze of trap rooms
  • Foxy fights almost entirely by interference: combining his Slow-Slow Beam (Noro Noro no Mi) with hidden traps — a treadmill-floored hall, a trap door, a spike room, the gun deck's cannons — to score on Luffy without a fair exchange
  • Foxy's named Slow-Slow Beam combo attack 'Nine-Tails Rush' debuts — he slows Luffy then delivers a flurry of blows during the ~30-second freeze (p. 18)
  • Foxy weaponizes disguise: a 'Foxy Face Transformation' gag where he poses as a cardboard cutout, as the buxom woman in the ship's infirmary, and as the cook in the ship's kitchen, baiting Luffy
  • The Sexy Foxy's interior is mapped: an infirmary, a kitchen, and a 'gun deck' (a room lined with the ship's cannons) plus spike-trap rooms — the ship is a purpose-built obstacle course
  • Luffy charges in with no hesitation ('rushes in with no hesitation'), confirming the rigged trap-ship is the Combat round's true battlefield

Summary

The Combat round (Round 3 of the Davy Back Fight) — Luffy vs Foxy — opens with a fake-out: Foxy’s “Face Bombs” detonate aboard his own ship the Sexy Foxy, and the commentator (Itomimizu) rules that since the ship is part of the combat field, Foxy “effectively used them in his cannon attack” to try to blow Luffy out of bounds — a legal interference. Luffy miraculously survives at point-blank range, dazzling the crowd (“Is this the true power of someone with a 100 million berry bounty?!”). Hidden in his explosion smoke, Foxy keeps up a relentless cackling assault, giving Luffy “no time to breathe”: he fires repeated Slow-Slow Beams (his Noro Noro no Mi / “Slow-Slow Beam!!”), tricks Luffy with a cardboard cutout decoy, baits him into looking up at a trap door, and runs him backward on a treadmill-floored hall (“the hall is moving — it’s forcing me backwards!!”) toward the open sea — but Luffy refuses to fall (“Gonna fall!! — I’m NOT!!”) and rights himself. Foxy then retreats deeper, and the battle stage moves below deck: a Foxy “spooky invitation” lures Luffy inside the ship, and even the MC can’t follow (“Even I, the commentator, cannot enter!”). The crew warns it’s a trick full of traps, but Luffy rushes in with no hesitation, and “the combatants begin an isolated man-to-man battle.” Inside, Luffy explores a wide gun deck, dodges (and triggers) a spike room and the deck cannons (a “STAB… BOOM!!”), then chases Foxy through the ship — where Foxy unleashes his Foxy Face Transformation gag: disguising himself as the buxom woman in the infirmary (“Oh my — what’s the matter? Do you feel ill?”), then as the cook in the kitchen (“May I help you?”). Luffy, slow on the uptake, finally clues in (“She was?! — The woman in the infirmary was me too!!”), and Foxy springs a “Fox Trap Counter-Attack” plus his new named combo “Nine-Tails Rush!!” — slowing Luffy with the beam and pummeling him during the freeze. The chapter ends on Foxy gloating over a final sealed room (“Don’t think I lured you in here for nothing… My attacks will hit you soon, but before that — what’s behind the door? Why don’t you go find out? It’s not something living… that would be against the rules”) as something rattles ominously behind it. The volume’s SBS Question Corner closes the chapter (Conis’s “Heso” greeting; how Tonjit went to the bathroom on his stilts).
