Firsts
  • **Rumble Ball — Chopper's three-minute transformation-modifier drug — named on-page** (page 2). Chopper, in human-monster form atop the snowy castle wall, declares: *'The RUMBLE BALL lasts for three minutes!!!'* and warns Wapol: *'That's all the time you have left!!!'* (p. 2). First on-page naming of the **Rumble Ball** — a medicine Chopper invented that modifies his Devil Fruit's transformation powers. Chopter title (*Rumble*) puns directly on the drug. Pre-loads Chopper's entire combat-axis as a self-medicating Zoan: every multi-form Chopper fight to come (Skypiea, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark) is gated by the three-minute Rumble-Ball window.
  • **Chopper's Devil Fruit is a Zoan — explicitly classified on-page** (pages 4-5). Wapol identifies Chopper's power: *'So you've eaten one of the Devil Fruit, eh!'* / *'A half-beast, like Dalton!! You're a reindeer-man!!'* (p. 5). Chopper corrects him: *'WRONG!! I'M A MAN-REINDEER!!'* (p. 5). First on-page confirmation that **Chopper is a Devil Fruit user** and a **Zoan-class transformer**. Wapol's *'reindeer-man'* phrasing also explicitly links Chopper to **Dalton** as a fellow Zoan — pre-loading Dalton's bull-bison Zoan reveal.
  • **Zoan Devil Fruits have a hard three-stage transformation limit** (page 8). Wapol, after Chopper unveils a fourth and then fifth form: *'How can you...!!? Zoan types are limited to THREE TRANSFORMATIONS!!!!'* (p. 8). First on-page statement of the **Zoan three-form rule** — Human / Hybrid / Animal. This is the lore-rule the Rumble Ball breaks. Establishes the Zoan-class taxonomic baseline that all subsequent Zoan transformations (Lucci, Kaku, Pekoms, Marco-style mythical Zoans, the SMILEs) are measured against.
  • **Chopper has seven transformation forms — discovered via five years of research** (page 9). Chopper: *'"Rumble Ball" is a medicine that can modify the transformation powers of the Devil Fruit!!'* / *'After five years of research, I discovered four more transformations!!!'* — *'SEVEN STAGES OF TRANSFORMATION!!!?'* (p. 9). Reveals Chopper as a **doctor-researcher** who experimented on himself and engineered four extra Zoan forms. The five-years-of-research detail is a quack-doctor backstory tell — pre-loads Hiriluk's medical-research lineage that Chopper inherited.
  • **Chopper's named transformations debut on-page** (pages 4-15). Sequential named techniques: **Limb Boost** (p. 4), **Weight Boost** (p. 5), **Quattro Hammer** (p. 5), **Jumping Boost** (p. 6), **Guard Boost** (p. 7), **Arm Boost** (p. 10), **Quattro Ax** (p. 11), **Brain Boost** (p. 13), **Scope** (p. 14), **Cloven** (p. 17). First on-page Chopper combat-grammar — each form maps to a specialized body part (limbs, weight, arms, jumps, guard, brain, eyes). The 'Boost' suffix names each modulated form.
  • **Wapol's named techniques debut** (pages 5, 11, 12). **Marimo's Snow-Melting Arrow** (Kuromarimo, p. 5), **Marimo's Super Surprise** (Kuromarimo, p. 5/11), **Iron Hooves** (Wapol mentions, p. 11), **Snow-Slicing Blade** (Kuromarimo, p. 12), **Multi-Directional Snow Splitter** (Kuromarimo, p. 13). The Tin Tyrants' combat grammar is formally introduced this chapter as a counterpart to Chopper's Boost-suite.
  • **Wapol's castle is shown — Drum Castle exterior** (pages 2-3, 9, 12, 15, 17). The entire chapter is staged at the snowy gingerbread-style mountain castle Wapol calls *'my dear castle'* (Ch. 135 p. 13). First sustained on-page depiction of **Drum Castle** as a setting — the spired, multi-tower fortress on the snow-peak. Pre-loads the castle as the Drum arc's climax-setting.
  • **Chopper's medical-cross hat is now active in combat** (throughout). Chopper's pink top hat with the white X-cross is shown across every transformation, on-page, in every form except the largest Heavy/Monster mode. The X-cross — established Ch. 134 as a medical-cross motif — is now visually inseparable from his combat identity, structurally encoding the doctor + warrior fusion before Hiriluk's backstory is told.
  • **Cover story — *Django's Dance Heaven, Vol. 18: The Pirate Django's Clothes Are Discovered!!*** (page 1). Cover-art shows Django (now in a black-and-white striped chef-style coat over a hoop-skirt-frilled vest, with cape and top-hat at the table) at an outdoor café with two suited men in fedoras/hats and a fainting woman; one of the men holds up the wanted poster (*WANTED — Django — 9,000,000 berries*). The cover-story title indicates a plot turn: Django's pirate clothing has been recognized at the resort. Continues the Django cover-serial that has run alongside the Drum Island arc.

Summary

Cover-art (p. 1): Django’s Dance Heaven, Vol. 18 — “The Pirate Django’s Clothes Are Discovered!!” Django, in his black-and-white striped coat, sits at a café table; two suited men examine his WANTED — Django — 9,000,000 berries poster while a woman behind him faints.

The chapter is a single, sustained fight: Tony Tony Chopper vs. Wapol and Kuromarimo at the snowy spires of Drum Castle. Chopper, in his man-monster form, names his power on-page for the first time: “The RUMBLE BALL lasts for three minutes!!! That’s all the time you have left!!!” (p. 2). Wapol scoffs (“Three minutes!? WA HA HA HA!! As if you could defeat me!!!”) and Luffy — climbing the mountain below, watching from a distance — instead gawps: “Three minutes!? COOL!!!”

Kuromarimo charges with Marimo’s Snow-Melting Arrow (a flaming pom-pom hurled at Chopper, p. 5). Chopper counters by cycling through transformation-forms, naming each: Limb Boost (p. 4 — slim leaping form), Weight Boost (p. 5 — heavy mass form, “I’ll be the same thing! Anyway, I know all about three-stage transformation types!!!”), Quattro Hammer (p. 5 — hammer-arm slam), Jumping Boost (p. 6 — leg-form that goes airborne, “YOU GET STRONGER WITH EACH TRANSFORMATION!!!”), Guard Boost (p. 7 — wide-body shield form, fur-bristled).

When Chopper unveils a fourth form, Wapol panics: “Zoan types are limited to THREE TRANSFORMATIONS!!!! (p. 8). Chopper monologues the truth (p. 9): “‘Rumble Ball’ is a medicine that can modify the transformation powers of the Devil Fruit!! After five years of research, I discovered four more transformations!!!”seven stages total. Luffy’s reaction: “SEVEN STAGES… WHAT A COOL REINDEER!!!!” (p. 10).

Combat continues. Chopper goes through Arm Boost (p. 10 — sumo-arms slam), Quattro Ax (p. 11 — sweeping leg/hammer attack), and tanks Kuromarimo’s Iron Hooves counter. Kuromarimo escalates: Snow-Slicing Blade (p. 12, SHWISH SHWISH) cracks the castle wall and rattles Chopper, then Multi-Directional Snow Splitter (p. 13, WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH). Below, Luffy (watching the duel from a snow-cliff): “…how do you expect to win?” Chopper, calmly: “I’m not… running away. I’m looking for your weak point.” (p. 14). He shifts to Brain Boost (p. 13 — calculating form).

Scope (p. 14 — Chopper’s eyes become a literal crosshair-targeting field overlaid on Wapol’s body). Wapol mocks: “I don’t have any weak points!!! What are you doing? Staring me to death!?” and “You’re just a stupid Zoan!!” Chopper sights Wapol’s chin (p. 16, “His chin”). He launches as a Quattro Hammer / Cloven assault — “GOT IT!!!” — and slams Wapol’s jaw straight up (GRAAA!!!, p. 16). Wapol staggers, dazed (“UGH!”).

Final beat (p. 17): Chopper, between Wapol and the wreckage of the castle wall, names a final form — “Cloven…” — and vanishes from sight, leaving Wapol confused (“Wh-where’d he…!!?”) as the chapter ends.
