Reasoning

The Recruitment-Pattern thread is the densest mystery in the vault — 67 distinct foreshadowing techniques across 38 evidence chapters. The Sanji-specific sub-pattern converges five techniques on this prediction, calibrating it to 0.8:

• visual-silhouette + pre-named-debut + prophetic-crew-splash (Ch 50 p17 Sanji silhouette) — the Ch 1 Zoro-bamboo-cover silhouette produced the Ch 6 recruitment within five chapters. The Ch 50 Sanji silhouette is the same grammar, scaled for the Baratie arc’s longer runway (~20 chapters).
• chekhov-explicit + crew-role-slot-declared (Sea Cook Crew Role Slot Foreshadowing) — Luffy has named the role-slot before the recruit in every prior case (Ch 7 Zoro as fighter, Ch 11 Nami as navigator, Ch 27 Usopp as sniper). The Sea Cook slot is declared and un-filled going into Baratie. Captain-side-role-assignment grammar always closes the slot within the arc.

What happened: Sanji joins the Straw Hats on-page in Ch. 68 (“The Fourth Person”) — pages 7-8 deliver the recruitment beat (Sanji: “I’ll go. Take me with you.” / Luffy: “You’ve got yourself a cook.”). The Baratie cooks stage a rejection-scene (pages 9, 15) to give Sanji emotional permission to leave; Zeff confirms (“I was going to throw you out with my own hands”). Sanji bows to the cooks on the dock with “I owe you my life!!!!” (page 17). The recruitment lands well within the Baratie arc as predicted — at chapter 18 after the Ch. 50 Mihawk-silhouette (so within the ~20-chapter runway the prediction named).

• Partial: the prediction listed co-located with the Baratie’s plot resolution — Krieg/Mihawk fallout was already resolved (Krieg defeated Ch. 67, Mihawk left in Ch. 52), so the recruitment-chapter is the coda of the arc rather than the same chapter as the combat-resolution. Still consistent with the prediction’s general shape.
