Going Merry Sails Itself To Enies Lobby Ship-Spirit Rescue

The seed
The condemned Going Merry — keel broken, declared un-sailable by Galley-La Company , abandoned at Water Seven and swept down the Aqua Laguna canal Ch. 359 — arrives at Enies Lobby in Ch. 428 (pp. 14-19) sailing herself with no crew aboard .
A voice only Tony Tony Chopper can hear instructs the crew to “look down ” (pp. 14-16); the ship breaks out of the Buster Call bombardment smoke (“Jump on board…”, p. 18) and her own spirit speaks aloud: “Merry!! …the Merry Go!!! / I came for you!! ” (p. 19). The Klabautermann (the ship-spirit, named on-page Ch. 351 ) is here shown as an active rescuer.
Ch. 429 pp. 2-4, 11-18 — the autonomous RETURN continues the rescue
Ch. 0429 (“Utter Defeat”) consummates the autonomous-rescue beat: the crewless Going Merry — last seen swept down the Aqua Laguna canal Ch. 359 and presumed destroyed — returns under her own power into the middle of the Buster Call fleet to rescue the trapped crew, with Robin already aboard. The crew can only ask “WHO BROUGHT HER HERE?! ” / “Wasn’t the ship destroyed?!” (p. 3) — the how is left a deliberate mystery. She then carries the whole crew through the Enies Lobby escape and is launched clear by Franky ’s Coup de Vent (pp. 11-18). The unexplained autonomous return is the on-page set-up for the ship-soul (Klabautermann) / Viking-funeral reveal of the following chapter.
