Elbaf's Library and the War on History
Status: confirmed · Technique: parallel-arc-structure, background-symbol
The seed
The World Government orders Elbaf to burn its school and library of “thousands of years of history” and forbids removing a single book first (Ch. 1148 pp. 3–6) — a beat-for-beat structural echo of the Ohara annihilation (the Tree of Knowledge / poneglyph research burned), and staged before the Ohara survivor Robin, who weeps as it happens.

Why this matters
The parallel implies the library is not merely a hostage but a target — Elbaf’s archive likely contains history the World Government has spent a century suppressing (cf. True History Ohara Was Killed For, Void Century and Ancient Kingdom). Oda restages the Ohara book-burning in front of the same survivor, a structural signal that the two crimes share a motive. Watch for a Void-Century / True-History reveal tied to the Owl Library’s contents.
