Beta Beta no Mi
Paramecia · current: Trebol
Profile
A Paramecia fruit that lets the user produce and control a sticky mucus/adhesive substance (“betsa-betsa”), making the wielder a “Mucus Human.” The substance coats and glues victims in place — Sanji is web-trapped like “a fly … in a spider’s web” (Ch. 712) — and can be launched, whipped, and chained as ranged snares. Eaten by Trebol, the Don Quixote Family supreme officer (♣ Club) and “chief of staff,” whose bulky mucus-covered body (“the Mucus-Man”) is itself the fruit’s substance rather than flesh. His Devil Fruit is named on-page via his officer title card — “Don Quixote Family Supreme Officer Trebol (♣) — Stick-Stick Fruit” (Ch. 737 p. 14) — confirming the sticky coating on his victims is his power, not slime. The Japanese name, Beta Beta no Mi, is given by Oda in SBS Volume 75, which states “Trebol is the current Beta Beta no Mi user.”
User chain
Devil Fruits respawn into a random fruit worldwide after the user dies — SBS Vol. 75’s phrasing (“the current user”) is standard Oda framing and does not confirm a specific prior holder. No prior user is shown on-page.
