Big Mom’s third son. Introduced by name in Big Mom’s tea-party introduction of her children. Name follows the Charlotte food theme (daifuku = a mochi confection filled with sweet bean paste).

• Among the Big Mom Pirates off the Wano coast debating Mama’s survival and the succession; her intact Vivre Card confirms she lives (see Charlotte Linlin).

Whole Cake Island — the Hoya Hoya genie reaches the fleeing Sunny (Ch. 899)

• Shown on p. 14 attacking the fleeing Sunny: summons his Hoya Hoya no Mi genie (“…you’ve got the fleet ahead of you and a GENIE behind!!!”) and rubs his belly to bring the Sunny within its reach (“WELL, WELL! You finally got us within range for my powers to reach them!!”). Shown but not named in text.

Whole Cake Island — the Cacao escape standoff (Ch. 898)

• Among the Big Mom Pirates commanders reacting to the Germa fleet’s surprise bombardment — “Well, yeah… but at least I caught back up!” (p. 5). Distressed by Brûlée’s report of Katakuri’s defeat.

Whole Cake Island — genie summoned; routed by Sulong-Carrot (Ch. 889)

• Commanding a fleet in the pursuit of the fleeing Straw Hats, he fights by summoning a genie from his own body — rubbing himself to call forth a large genie that executes his commands (“Genie!! What is your desire, master?!”, pp. 2, 14). See Hoya Hoya no Mi.
• His entire fleet is swept aside and he is knocked “down for the count” by the Sulong-transformed Carrot; Perospero curses him as a “useless bungler” (p. 14). See Minks (§Sulong).

Whole Cake Island — commands a pursuit fleet; routed by Sulong-Carrot (Ch. 888)

• Commands a lead pursuit fleet chasing the fleeing Thousand Sunny; his subordinates warn he is dangerous — “He’ll be dangerous. He controls a genie!!” (the Hoya Hoya no Mi, p. 9).
• His fleet is wrecked when the Sulong-transformed Carrot boards and smashes its ships and a ship’s wheel (pp. 14-17). See Minks (§Sulong).

Whole Cake Island — named; directs the pursuit muster (Ch. 872)

• After the Chateau collapse, Katakuri orders him to muster the pursuit — “Assemble two major squads, Daifuku!!” (p. 19) — tasking him with raising the force that chases the escaping alliance.

Whole Cake Island — the wedding; the Puff-Puff Fruit debuts (Ch. 864)

• Debuts his Devil Fruit — the Hoya Hoya no Mi (Puff-Puff Fruit): by rubbing / clapping his own body he summons a giant war-genie (jinn) that fights for him, loosing it at Sanji with the genie attack “Rage Split” (pp. 7-8).
• Berates his sister Pudding for failing to kill Sanji at the altar — “You screwed up, you klutz!! The plan goes nowhere unless he dies!!” — and moves to finish Sanji himself; Pudding insists “No! I’ll do it!!” (p. 7).
