Bellamy Do Not Dream New Age Of Pirates Doctrine

The seed
In the Mock Town bar Bellamy articulates the anti-dream doctrine the chapter title (“DO NOT DREAM”) inverts: the One Piece, El Dorado, the Emerald City and Sky Island are dead myths, “the age of pirate pipe dreams is over,” and dreamers “were lucky to die chasing” delusions (Ch. 224 pp. 15-17).
Bellamy lays out the “new age of pirates” creed, then beats Luffy and Zoro who refuse to fight back; Luffy is laid out flat, hat knocked off, refusing to retaliate.

the doctrine recoils onto its own evangelist; “new era” re-articulated by Doflamingo
The “new era / new age of pirates” motif Bellamy preached is now re-spoken — and weaponized against him — by his own idol Doflamingo , who crushes the broken, begging Bellamy in Mock Town and rejects him from his crew: “The new era is almost upon us… like an unstoppable wave, a new age of unmatched power is coming… only real pirates will survive… those without power had better run while they can.” Bellamy, the man who mocked dreamers as weaklings doomed to be left behind, is himself left behind a broken man — the capstone of his hubris arc. This is where the “new era” theme is given its clearest series-spanning articulation (the rising-generation/Supernova frame). the craving for Doflamingo’s approval, weaponized
Doflamingo offers Bellamy the redemption he’s chased since Mock Town — a full-officer seat — but only if he assassinates the very man who beat him, “Straw Hat” Luffy . The dream-mocker’s craving for Doflamingo’s approval is turned into a loyalty test against his nemesis. the idolization arc capped just before it shatters
Bellamy reframes his whole creed around Doflamingo : he “never cared what [he] was… as long as it allowed [him]” to follow his idol, while Doflamingo names their split aims (“you’ve always wanted to be a pirate… to tear down the world around me”). The payoff
Oda banks Luffy’s silent humiliation (beaten flat, hat knocked off, refusing to fight — pp. 17-19) as the indignity to be repaid when Luffy fells Bellamy in a single punch and when the Sky Island the bar mocked turns out to be real. The scoffer-names-the-real-thing structure (he even names the Knock-Up Stream, the actual route up) is the seed; the arc’s climax is the payoff.
Ch. 706 — the scoffer renounces his own doctrine
Bellamy himself confirms the Sky Island is real (“I went there… I saw the Sky Island,” p. 8) and explicitly retires his mockery: the chapter is titled “I Ain’t Gonna Laugh At Ya” and Bellamy tells Luffy , “I ain’t gonna laugh at ya anymore.” The dreamer’s faith Bellamy beat Luffy for in Mock Town is vindicated by Bellamy in person — the on-theme inversion the seed predicted. Ch. 769 — the scoffer recants his idol
Bellamy explicitly admits “I chose the wrong man to idolize,” the final demolition of his Mock-Town “age of pirate dreams is over” creed and his Doflamingo hero-worship. (Already confirmed @0706; do not re-flip / do not regress payoff_chapter — additional confirming evidence only.)
