Profile

A Paramecia fruit that lets Jewelry Bonney change her own age at will — aging herself into an adult or a wrinkled old woman, and (applied to others) aging/de-aging targets (pp. 6–7, Ch. 1099). Its power was shown on-page long before it was named — Bonney’s age-altering ability appears from Ch. 498 onward at Sabaody ; the fruit is first named on-page Ch. 1099 (“Hmm, is this it? The AGE-AGE FRUIT?!”, p. 7).

Lore & theories

  • In the Ch. 1099 Kuma flashback, child-Bonney uses the fruit to age herself into an adult (mistaken by Sorbet townsfolk for her mother Ginny — see Bonney’s Adult Form Mirrors Her Mother Ginny) and into a “wrinkled old bag,” vowing to “build up strength” by training as an adult so she can sail with her father at age ten (pp. 6–7).
  • The fruit’s narrative function as a backstory-encoder is tracked at Bonney Sapphire Scales.
  • Distorted Future (self-applied)Ch. 1118: Bonney renders her own believed “free” future onto her body, taking on a Sun-God-Nika-like form (”…I’m the most free!!”, pp.11-13). The power-line “Distorted Future!!” is printed on p.11. Extends the established Distorted-Future mechanic (an imagined/believed future made real) from third parties to herself. Not framed on-page as an awakening.
