Summary

On a field in Big Mom’s territory, Sanji — in a formal suit, flanked by a Germa 66 escort and Charlotte Pudding — coldly orders Luffy to “get lost,” claiming he is aligning himself with the rich and powerful Big Mom Pirates over Luffy’s “tiny, poor crew,” and demands Luffy put up his fists. Luffy, already battered from fighting an enemy officer all night, flatly refuses both to fight back and to leave. Sanji beats him brutally and one-sidedly — Joue Shot, Diable Jambe, Concasse — screaming at Luffy to disappear, while Luffy only keeps repeating that Sanji is the cook for his crew. Nami pleads for him to stop, slaps Sanji, and feigns surrender (“we’ll leave!!!”) to halt the beating; the Germa carriage prepares to depart. Watching from afar, the escort marvels that Sanji “has the Vinsmoke blood.” As the carriage rolls away, Luffy gets up, charges, and — bloodied — refuses to accept the goodbye: he won’t eat anyone’s food but Sanji’s anymore, he’ll stand here in the rain and the snow and starve until Sanji comes back, because without Sanji’s help he can’t become the King of the Pirates. Sanji breaks down in tears as Luffy finally collapses.
