Chapter 715: The Battleground of Block C

Summary

Block C of the Corrida Colosseum tournament erupts. The giant Hajrudin, a heavy favorite, is suddenly blasted clean off the ring — not by an explosion but by a single punch from the Triple-X-level boxer Ideo, “the Cannon of Destruction,” who declares he wants the Flame-Flame Fruit to grow stronger. A trio of gangsters from Kano in the far east — the Happosui Army — show off their unblockable shock-wave style Hasshoken: 13th chief Sai and sub-chief Boo cut a swath through the field, only for both to be brutally outdone by their own retired 12th chief, Don Chin Jao, a legendary pirate once worth five hundred million berries who unleashes the Haki of the Supreme King. Other contenders surface: bounty hunter Jean Ango, “Jean the Bandit,” scavenging fallen fighters’ weapons as his ammunition, and the assassin Funk Brothers of the Mogaro Kingdom — big brother Kelly and little brother Bobby — whose ultra-violent style sees Kelly balloon into a giant. Jean Ango snatches Lucy’s helmet, exposing the disguised gladiator as the 400-million-berry pirate “Straw Hat” Luffy. Recognizing him, Chin Jao breaks into a mad charge at Luffy — vowing that Garp will see what becomes of his grandson. Block C dwindles to roughly forty survivors as the surviving titans square off.
