Devil Fruit Cosmology Chekhov Chain

Five distinct chekhov-explicit setups across Ch 6-19 plus paratext (SBS) install the Devil-Fruit cosmology one rule at a time.

Each component note installs an operational rule — not a cosmological explanation. The cosmology is being built empirically in the early arcs, to be re-framed by Vegapunk (Ch 1069) and re-rooted by Imu’s katakana Akuma no Mi (Ch 1179).

What the pattern predicts

Five chekhov-explicit cosmology-rules + the Ch 1179 katakana reveal + Vegapunk’s Ch 1069 fruits-of-hope reframe converge on the Imu Akuma no Mi Is Root of All Devil Fruits hypothesis. The cosmology will resolve as:

  1. The class is finite because it derives from one prime fruit.
  2. The sea rejects the bearers because the prime fruit’s owner is the deposed sovereign of the original Ancient Kingdom (Imu/Devil) — the sea is the natural enemy of that sovereign.
  3. DF users engineer around their power because the wish (Vegapunk’s framing) was always partial — the wisher could only express a fragment of the prime power.
  4. DF weaknesses cluster because the prime fruit’s structure (sea- rejection, type-counter, awakening) is inherited by every derived fruit.
