Why this matters

The chapter pre-tells Crocus’s Roger-Pirates affiliation through delivery-grammar alone — no panel, no caption, no dialogue confirms it; the how he says it is the seed. The delivery-cadence-as-foreshadowing technique is one of Oda’s subtler tells: the manner of an information-delivery encodes the source of the information.
