The given names encode the lineage’s liar-whose-tale-proves-true theme (a Pinocchio overlay):

• Noland puns on the English “no land” — confirmed in One Piece Blue (p. 366) as “the man who saw a land others could not see.” Society judged his gold-island to be no land (a lie); the arc reveals it was real (it rose into the sky as Skypiea).
• Cricket evokes the Talking Cricket of Pinocchio (Jiminy Cricket), the conscience who insists on the truth no one wants to hear — exactly Cricket’s lifelong role of proving “Noland was no liar.”

The Lvneel-Kingdom origin (Ch. 291)

• Ch. 291: Ancestor Noland’s home named on-page as the Lvneel Kingdom (North Blue) — the family’s North-Blue seat and the kingdom where Noland is later tried as “the Liar.” (He sets a course “for Marijoa and North Blue… home to Lvneel Kingdom,” p. 15.)

The 400-year family curse (Ch. 228)

Ch. 228 expands the lineage’s burden: “countless Mont Blancs have gone to sea… and all of them disappeared without a trace… in order to restore the family honor” (p. 11). Mont Blanc Cricket insists his ancestor “was no liar” and produces Noland’s surviving 400-year-old log book as proof sky islands are real — connecting the family legend to Sky Island Existence and Sky Island.

The Tontatta “Usoland” false claim (Ch. 713)

• Ch. 713 — Usopp falsely claims to be “a descendant of Montblanc” to win over the Tontatta dwarves of Green Bit, who revere Mont Blanc Noland as their 400-years-ago hero “Usoland” (pp. 18-19). (Usopp is not a Mont Blanc — a tactical lie, not a genuine lineage.) The beat independently corroborates Noland as a real, world-spanning ~400-year-ago figure.
