A Paramecia fruit that makes the user a “stone-assimilation man” : “his body becomes one with any stone he touches,” and that stone falls “under his control ” (Viola ’s clairvoyant exposition, Ch. 737 p. 2). Because Dressrosa ’s royal palace is built of stone, the officer can fuse with the palace itself — “this stone palace is completely [his]” — turning the building into his body and collapsing its walls. Demonstrated on-page by the Don Quixote Family supreme officer who guards the palace, dropping the masonry on Luffy ’s infiltration group (pp. 2–3). The wielder is not named on this chapter’s pages — only “supreme officer” + the fruit name appear — but is identified as Supreme Officer Pica Ch. 736 . Pressed by Zoro atop the colossus, Pica abandons his physical footing, merges back into the stone, and re-forms the colossus statue to attack — named on-page as “Pulpostone ” (octopus-shaped stone construct). Demonstrates the fruit’s continuous re-assimilation of stone terrain: rather than hold a vulnerable stance, the user dissolves into and reconstitutes the surrounding stone at will.
New on-page mechanics for Pica ’s stone-assimilation: broken stone limbs regenerate from the bedrock (“The arm you broke will come back!!”), the user’s real human body remains embedded inside the stone construct (“There’s his real body, right there!!! …somethin’ that looks human”), and the fruit can shape a giant stone katana for the giant to wield. Pica scales the stone-assimilation up to the entire King’s Plateau , tunnelling through the earth and re-emerging between the Flower Hill steps to strike weakened fighters, then rises as a colossal mobile spiked stone golem over the plateau. Ch. 778 pp. 13–14, 16 — awakened-stone mechanic explained
The awakening’s trick is finally spelled out on-page: once Pica ’s assimilated stone is split , it separates into inert “dead stone ” and animate “moving stone ,” and his real body always remains hidden inside one of the remaining moving pieces — so destroying a section can’t reach him. The stone is described as “invincible when infused with Haki ” (p. 16) — though Zoro cuts clean through it with superior Haki, splitting the colossus with “Trichiliocosm” and felling Pica with “Three Thousand Worlds.” (The awakened giant-stone form debuted earlier in the arc (~Ch. 745 ); this chapter only explains the mechanic — awakening_chapter is NOT pinned to 0778.)
