A register-bin, not a serial. The numbered side-serial “CP9’s Independent Report” concluded at its FINAL CHAPTER on Ch. 528 (“The Ship Disappears into Oblivion”). No successor cover serial has yet begun at the read frontier. From Ch. 529 onward the Impel Down battle chapters carry standalone decorative chapter title pages — themed one-off art with no recurring cover-serial caption and no “Vol. N” installment counter.
They are logged here in one place so future reader passes do not spuriously fork them into a new cover serial. Note that several of these whimsical pages happen to depict scattered Straw Hats at the islands Kuma flung them to (the whereabouts revealed in main canon at Ch. 524) — but they are un-numbered standalone title art, not a serialized “separation” cover narrative.
Verified one-offs (no serial caption)
| Chapter | Title | Art |
|---|---|---|
| Ch. 529 | ”Jimbei, First Son of the Sea” (chapter title only — no series caption) | A young Luffy-like figure riding a giant beetle over a tropical island at night. Decorative request art; no recurring cover-serial caption, no “Vol. N” counter. (p. 1) |
| Ch. 530 | ”The Strongest Prisoner” (chapter title only — no series caption) | Bon Clay in his okama swan-coat striking a ballet pose beside a giant praying mantis on a misty bonsai-dotted crag — a title-art tell foreshadowing his reappearance on this chapter’s final pages. Decorative title illustration; no serial caption, no “Vol. N” counter. (p. 1) [mirror] |
| Ch. 531 | ”Level 3: Starvation Hell” (chapter title only — no series caption) | Tony Tony Chopper beside a crab-like creature in a pirate hat holding a treasure map, with a sun motif, a palm-tree island, and a ship. A “where Chopper is now” image depicting his post-Kuma scatter-landing on Birdie Kingdom (South Blue, the destination revealed in main canon at Ch. 524). Decorative title illustration only — no recurring cover-serial caption, no “Vol. N” installment counter. (p. 1) |
| Ch. 535 | ”Friend” (chapter title only — no series caption) | Brook working out at a gym beside a huge muscular man, hoisting dumbbells; his shirt reads 筋肉 (“MUSCLE,” per ED. note). A whimsical “where is Brook now”-style decorative title page picturing the scattered skeleton musician training during the crew’s post-Kuma separation. Standalone decorative title illustration — no recurring cover-serial caption, no “Vol. N” installment counter. (p. 1) |
| Ch. 536 | ”Level 5: Frozen Hell” (chapter title only — no series caption) | A goggled blond inventor/mechanic standing inside an alpaca-headed steam tank (treaded war-machine) in a cluttered workshop yard, with a crane/derrick and clouds behind. Two blueprint placards lean at left: one reads “ALPACA” (with an alpaca/llama sketch), the other “ALPACA TANK” (with a tank sketch). An unidentified one-off inventor figure; whimsical decorative title art unconnected to the Frozen Hell plot beneath. No recurring cover-serial caption, no “Vol. N” installment counter. (p. 1) |
| Ch. 538 | ”Level 5.5: New Kama Land” (chapter title only — no series caption) | A young swordsman in an “I LIKE” shirt with two katana slung on his back, reaching forward past a giant chicken/hen and a striped tiger in a misty rocky highland. Unidentified one-off figure; standalone decorative title art unconnected to the New Kama Land plot beneath (fits the same whimsical “where-is-a-scattered-crewmate” motif as the Brook/Chopper pages — a possible “young-Zoro / swordsman” image — but carries no recurring cover-serial caption and no “Vol. N” installment counter). (p. 1) |
| Ch. 542 | ”Yet Another Epic Incident” (chapter title only — no series caption) | A dog wearing a beaded necklace walking beside a duck/waterfowl in a knit cap that carries a small drawstring pouch, through a wooded area. Whimsical decorative animal title art unconnected to the Impel Down / Marineford plot beneath. No recurring cover-serial caption, no “Vol. N” installment counter. (p. 1) |
Notes
- The Chopper title page at Ch. 531 is the one a reader pass flagged as a possible “scattered-crew cover-narrative installment,” and Ch. 532’s two-page spread was likewise weighed as a possible “separation-serial” page and explicitly rejected (“not a separation-serial cover installment”). These are standalone decorative title pages, not a numbered serial — logged here so the motif is not mis-forked into a speculative “Straw Hat separation” cover serial.
