Summary
With most of the crew knocked out, only Zoro, Usopp, and Nami still stand against the rampaging Oars — the colossal special zombie animated by Luffy’s stolen shadow. Zoro lands Santoryu strikes (“Demonic Raven,” “Tiger Trap”) but Oars shrugs them off, taunting that nothing works. Usopp lures Oars into chomping a giant ball of salt — the zombies’ kill-switch — but Oars blocks the salt “from the inside,” flings it back, and reveals he kept a countermeasure for “such an obvious weakness”; worse, that was the last of the salt Brook had gathered. Oars begins stomping the downed crew flat (“crush them until there’s nothing left”) — until a foot-stop halts him: the recovered Luffy has returned. The crew barely recognize him because Oars wears Luffy’s shadow, face, and moves, but when Oars fires a Gum-Gum Rifle Luffy stops the giant fist bare-handed (“Stop…!!”), declares “There’s only one Luffy… and it’s me!!”, and counter-punches Oars flying clear across Thriller Bark into the distant zombie crowd — a Luffy-vs-Luffy collision begins in earnest.

Usopp force-feeds Oars a giant ball of salt to purify him and eject Luffy’s shadow, but Oars “blocks it from the inside” and throws it back — “Did you really think I wouldn’t have any countermeasures for such an obvious weakness?!” (pp. 7-9). The arc’s universal zombie kill-switch is not automatic against Moria’s masterwork.
