Summary

In the Forest of Upper Yard, Luffy squares off against the priest Satori and his floating “balls” (bubbles) while Sanji and Usopp scramble to recover the Going Merry, which is drifting deeper toward the Forest of No Return. Satori’s balls are a lethal lottery: some are harmless, some explode, some conceal weapons (spear, crab, bird, river), and the player cannot tell which is which until it’s too late. Luffy’s Gum-Gum attacks bounce off harmlessly; the crew is surrounded from all directions. Usopp swings across a bottomless river on a rope-launcher invention to reach the ship; the three reunite at the Going Merry and Nami brokers a truce after the boys nearly lose the ship squabbling. A flashback establishes that the Sky Knight handed them an emergency whistle — “blow this whistle and the Sky Knight will save us.” Satori then resumes his “survival game,” strikes (apparently downing Sanji), counts “One down… two to go,” and turns on Chopper, who blows the whistle as the chapter ends.
