Firsts
  • King's real name is Alber; Kaido broke him out of a government research facility (where Lunarians were held as test subjects) and renamed him King, his right-hand man
  • King is confirmed a Lunarian — black wings, white hair, brown/dark skin; the rumors were true
  • Lunarian body mechanic: while the flame on his back is lit his defense is extreme ('like magma'); when the flame goes out his defensive ability drops — his only opening
  • The World Government pays a 100-million-berry reward for tipping it off to a Lunarian's whereabouts
  • Sanji defeats Queen — 'Winner: Sanji. Battle of the Pleasure Hall, Leftbrain Tower' — but something is visibly wrong with his body afterward

Summary

The Sanji-vs-Queen bout closes on the Live Floor: a final blast hurls Queen away and the caption reads “Winner: Sanji. Battle of the Pleasure Hall, Leftbrain Tower.” Sanji rescues the quarter’s dancers and a pet mouse (Chuji), but as he says “…all… right…” the women recoil — something is visibly off about his body. The chapter then becomes the Zoro vs King duel. Pressing his advantage, Zoro deciphers the rules of King’s body: while the flame on King’s back is lit, his defense is magma-hard; when it goes out, his defensive ability drops. King tears his mask off, revealing he is a Lunarian — black wings, white hair, dark skin — and the watching Beasts Pirates confirm “the rumors were true,” recalling the 100-million-berry government reward for ratting out a Lunarian. A flashback shows young Kaido freeing Alber (King’s true name) from a government facility that held Lunarian test subjects, naming him “King” and his right-hand man. The fight escalates through King’s “Imperial Flaming Wings” and Zoro’s Enma-borne “King of Hell, Three-Sword Style,” ending with Zoro cutting up through King’s flame form as King’s eyes go wide. To be continued.
