- The whole scheme is astronomical. The main body is the 'Stella' (本体, glossed 'main body' but read ステラ Sutera — Latin stella = 'star'); the six replicated bodies that orbit it are 'satellites.' Each satellite is named after a real NAMED celestial body — asteroids 1246 Chaka (Shaka) & 1181 Lilith; lunar craters Edison, Pythagoras, Atlas; the Cape York meteorite — AND after a trait-embodying figure: Buddha=Good (Shaka), Lilith=Evil, Edison=Thinker, Pythagoras=Wisdom, Atlas=Violence, York=Greed. The 'Vega-' of Vegapunk itself = Vega, brightest star of Lyra. Aside (SBS): the satellites are written with the kanji for 'cat' (猫), punning on Kaku's idiom 'neko no te mo karitai' ('so busy I'd borrow even a cat's paw').
