Name meaning
スイート3将星 (Suīto San Shōsei) → literally 'Sweet Three General-Stars.' 将星 (shōsei) is a literary, Chinese-derived term for a great general — 将 (shō) 'general/commander' + 星 (sei) 'star' — i.e. a commander who shines like a star (the rank's three top officers as the crew's brightest 'stars'). スイート ('Sweet') is the English loanword that locks the rank into the Big Mom Pirates' all-confectionery naming theme; each general is named for a food/dessert (Cracker, Smoothie, Katakuri/katakuriko starch). VIZ renders 将星 as the plainer 'Generals'/'Commanders.'

Structural lore — the three elite commanders of the Big Mom Pirates. The unsolved questions live in Vault/Threads/; this is what the world IS.

What we know

  • Ch. 843: The “Sweet 3 Generals” are named on-page (pp. 4-6) as the three elite commanders (Sweet Commanders) of Big Mom’s crew. The three are Cracker (just defeated by Luffy in the Seducing Woods), Smoothie, and Katakuri — “it’s been forever since we had all three together” (p. 5), the gathering prompted by Cracker’s fall.
  • Ch. 843: An earlier general, Snack, is referenced as previously defeated (p. 9), implying the rank’s composition has changed over time.
  • Ch. 879: Katakuri is named “the strongest man in the Sweet 3 Generals” (p. 11), with a stated bounty worth ~a billion berries (p. 4) — the crew frames Luffy’s choice to fight him alone in the Mirro-World as “a tremendous gamble.”

Chronology / structure

The Sweet Commanders sit above the Minister tier (each minister governs an island/sweet of Totto Land) in the Big Mom Pirates’ command structure. As of Ch. 843 the three sitting generals are Cracker (defeated this arc), Smoothie, and Katakuri.
