Open questions about this topic

  • Why do some islands become advanced and others become frozen-in-time? The chapter doesn’t specify the selection-mechanism.
  • Is the unstable climate itself an artificial product of the Void Century history? Forward-canon: the Grand Line’s unique geography (Red Line, Reverse Mountain, Calm Belt) may all be artifacts of pre-Void-Century cataclysm.
  • Are the giants of Little Garden the actual natives of the island, or did they arrive from elsewhere (Elbaf)? Forward-canon: Elbaf is the giants’ homeland; Dorry/Brogy are voluntary visitors to Little Garden.
