• Ch. 10 page 8: Modified cannonballs branded with Buggy’s jolly-roger emblem (skull with red clown nose). The standard cannon-round form-factor with visible markings.
• Ch. 10 page 8: Per Buggy’s own first-person narration, the destructive amplification comes from “the special powers I got from eating the Devil Fruit” — implying his Bara Bara no Mi is involved in their manufacture or detonation. The exact mechanism is not specified on-page in Ch 10.
• Ch. 10 page 8: Demonstrated yield — levels a city block in one shot in Orange Town. Buggy claims the same shot “would have leveled a smaller town” — a one-shot-town-destroyer in the right place.
• Ch. 10 page 10: Buggy uses the Buggy Ball as a loyalty-test device, ordering Nami to fire one at the caged Luffy to “prove your loyalty.”

• Ch. 14 pages 12-13: Buggy Ball survivability tested — Zoro was inside the building when it was hit; emerges intact in the rubble (“That’s one heck of an alarm clock!”, page 13). Confirms Buggy Balls level buildings but are not necessarily lethal to swordsman-tier individuals at the structural level (vs. the Ch. 10 “would level a smaller town” yield-claim).

• Manufacture: Who or what assembles them? Buggy implies he personally enables the amplification, but the form-factor implies workshop assembly.

Pattern significance

Buggy Balls are the first in-series example of captain-branded signature ordnance — a Devil-Fruit-amplified weapon that is of the captain’s identity rather than just wielded by him. This pattern recurs across the series:
