The flashback beats are unambiguous about the Figarland boy: he boasts “I’ve always had the blood of Figarland in my veins” and is captioned “(Figarland Family) St. Shanks” (Ch. 1167 pp.12-13); the Holy Knights hunt “the son of our commander, a child with red hair” (Ch. 1168 p.8); and the adult red-haired Shanks who sailed with Gaban reflects on “the life I might’ve had” as a Knight of God (Ch. 1170 p.7) — the same continuous red-haired figure running from the Figarland birth through the Roger crew to the Emperor.
