Coastal harbor town on the eastern shore of Alabasta, named on-page in Ch. 216 (p. 10 location card) as the port from which the Straw Hat Pirates depart the kingdom after the civil war. Distinct from Nanohana (the arrival port). Site of the iconic X-mark farewell salute between the crew and Vivi as the Going Merry sails away.

Etymology

Tamarisk — a salt-tolerant desert shrub/tree (genus Tamarix) common to arid and coastal regions; an apt botanical name for an eastern desert-kingdom harbor. Continuity note: the eastern port Tamarisk was first named at Ch. 212 (Smoker/Hina’s offshore rendezvous and Tashigi’s report-in point); Ch. 0216 re-keys it as East Port Tamarisk.
