WG Fortress-Over-Sea DOOM-Splash Composition
A recurring Oda composition reserved for unveiling a World Government central facility: a full-page establishing splash of a wide, symmetrical man-made fortress sitting directly on the open sea, with the giant “[D]OOM!!” boom-SFX arced across the top of the frame, a band of “OO…O” wave-rumble SFX running along the waterline at the bottom, and a rectangular location-name caption boxed in the top-right corner. Unlike its natural-threshold cousin (DOOM-SFX Grand Line Threshold Establishing Splash — Reverse Mountain whale, Sabaody trees), this lineage frames architecture of state power, and the caption is a flat declarative naming of the facility rather than an “it’s-not-what-it-seems” reveal.

Oda re-deploys the same establishing grammar — DOOM boom-SFX arced across the top + wave-rumble SFX along the bottom waterline + a top-right caption box naming the facility + a wide symmetrical fortress squatting on open sea — to unveil two of the three World Government central facilities, and he does it in the very chapter that makes their shared Calm-Belt sea-current network explicit (see Gates of Justice Neptunian Sea-Current Passage, seeded Ch. 376, paid off Ch. 525 p. 4). The composition is the institutional signature: the matching splashes are the visual rhyme that tells you Enies Lobby and Impel Down are nodes of one system before the text says so. This is the man-made / state-power sibling of the natural-threshold DOOM-splash lineage (DOOM-SFX Grand Line Threshold Establishing Splash); the two share the boom-SFX wonder grammar but diverge on subject (institution vs. geography) and caption register (declarative naming vs. expectation-subversion).
A closely related beat sits one page after the seed: Ch. 525 page 8 restates the Calm-Belt-Neptunian-nest framing — Impel Down’s underwater tower wreathed by a writhing ring of Sea-King skeletons — visually echoing the Ch. 376 pp. 9-10 explanation of the Gates of Justice’s Neptunian safe-current (those pages are multi-panel, not full-page, so noted here rather than filed separately).
Watch-for: the third node — Marineford — should get the same wide-symmetrical-fortress DOOM-splash treatment as the Summit War opens; and any future WG stronghold reveal (a Holy Land / Mariejois establishing splash) is a candidate to extend this lineage.
