The seed

Direct on-page support for The City Of Gold Is Shandora In Skypiea And Its Gold Is The Giant Bell and The Noland Legend and the City of Gold — the sink→rise inversion engine of the whole City-of-Gold mystery, stated by the people who lived through it.

The payoff

(Largely resolved across the Skypiea arc — the rise mechanism is restated repeatedly; the ringer of the bell / final vindication beat remains open.)

Earliest known caller

(Not yet attributed.)

Why this matters

A chekhov-explicit inversion: a dead man’s literal-sounding mis-explanation (“sank into the sea”) is overturned by the survivors’ own oral history (“flew up to Skypiea”). Oda lets the descendants confirm the geography the reader already inferred — a parallel-arc-structure tell where the Shandian inheritance of grievance and the Mont Blanc inheritance of shame resolve on the same risen landmass.
