Big Mom's Debt to Okobore Town

The seed
An amnesiac Big Mom (“Olin”) washed ashore at Kuri, Wano Country, and was taken in and fed sweet oshiruko by the starving people of Okobore Town — looked after by Otama and named “Olin” by O-Tsuru. Even after her memory returned, the kindness left a mark: her whole amnesiac rampage on Queen (Ch. 946) was to bring the oshiruko back “for the kind villagers of that poor little village.”

Why this matters
A textbook Oda kindness-repaid Chekhov built across a long arc seam: a throwaway “amnesiac fed by a poor village” beat (Wano Act 1) is loaded as the explicit reason an Emperor switches sides at the climax. It doubles as the fault-line that fractures the Kaido–Big Mom alliance — the small-kindness setup paying off as a large strategic swing.
