The bedridden Queen of Germa and Sanji’s mother. In Sanji’s childhood flashback she is gravely ill, hidden in the infirmary’s far wing of the seafaring nation of Germa. She secretly encourages and praises the imprisoned Sanji’s cooking — “Mmm, yummy!!” (p.7) — defying Judge’s ban, and asks him to cook for her again. Her warmth stands against the cold Germa household and is implicitly tied to Sanji’s (and Reiju’s) retained emotions. Present-day she is dead — Judge tells the imprisoned Sanji “Your mother is dead!! Stop chasing her shadow!!” (Ch. 840).

- Her sacrifice, now on-page (the @0841 off-page mechanism pays off): in Reiju’s narration, Sora swallowed a powerful drug meant to halt the “manipulated bloodline elements” of the modification, hoping to keep her sons human; Judge forced the modification surgery anyway (p. 11). - The drug spared Sanji his emotions (“Germa’s failure”); Sora grew weaker from the after-effects and died, declaring herself proud of Sanji and without regrets (pp. 12-13).
- Reiju frames Sanji’s compassion as Sora’s living legacy — “Mother gave her life in resistance” (p. 13).

- First on-page appearance (flashback): the gravely ill Queen, bedridden and hidden in the infirmary; the staff are forbidden from the guest chamber (p.2).
- Secretly fed by Sanji. She has ordered the staff to serve only what Sanji cooks; the boy sneaks a self-cooked meal (scrambled eggs, fish, bananas) through a storm, and she delights in it — “Mmm, yummy!!” (pp.5-7) — over a servant’s warning that the unsightly food might “make her majesty sick to her stomach.”
