A winged old woman, captioned “AMAZON / HEAVEN’S GATE INSPECTOR” (p.15) — the first Skypiean shown with the people’s winged / halo iconography. She registers entrants by photograph and states the entry law: one billion extols per person to reach the upper stratum.

Skypiea — first appearance (Ch. 238)
- Stationed at Heaven’s Gate; photographs the crew and states the toll (p.15). Luffy calls her “a pruney little angel” (p.15).
- Explicitly disclaims being a “gatekeeper” or “guardian” — she only informs: “that choice is entirely your own” (p.16). A deliberate distinction between informing and enforcing.
- After the crew passes, files a report: “Seven people have… illegally entered Godland Skypiea… Render heavenly judgment.” (pp.16–17) — seeds Godland Skypiea Render Heavenly Judgment Seed.
Skypiea (Ch. 241)
- Named again on page 14, this time invoked by Enel’s hunters: “Old lady Amazon said there was a ship with seven Blue Sea people aboard.” Her Heaven’s-Gate report (Ch. 0238) is what flags the Straw Hats’ arrival to the priests/hunters. (Confirms the inspector and the “old lady Amazon” of the hunt-dialogue are the same figure.)
Skypiea (Ch. 242)
- Named/referenced as the inspector at Heaven’s Gate who photographed the Straw Hats with a Vision Dial at entry (McKinley: “Don’t try to talk your way out of it, Amazon, the inspector at Heaven’s Gate… sent us this picture she took with a Vision Dial,” page 4). Etymology
アマゾン (Amazon) is literally the Greek-myth term for the Amazons, the nation of warrior-women. The Heaven’s-Gate inspector is a tall figure, but there is no SBS or Wiki etymology note confirming authorial intent, so this is recorded as a surface-name reference only (confidence: speculative). Note Oda reuses the word later for the wholly separate Amazon Lily (the post-timeskip warrior-women island); the two are unrelated.
