- The claim
- Sanji is the one who beats Killingham at Elbaf, and the God of Rain ZaZa disappears on-page as a direct result. The construct does not outlive its creator's defeat, and no independent Rain-God entity is left standing at Elbaf afterward.
The claim
This settles the entity-vs-construct sub-point of the thread in favour of construct. It says nothing about the thread’s other open half: whether the name “ZaZa”, the Holy Land’s nursery boogeyman, encodes a real person (the Dragon reading held by ZaZa The Rain-God Onomatopoeia Encodes Monkey D Dragon). A construct that vanishes is compatible with a myth that names something real.
Reasoning
Converging techniques (5 distinct on this claim; the thread carries 6): chekhov-explicit · parallel-arc-structure · prop-tell · negative-space · sbs-leak.
Pricing. Five or more techniques gives an anchor of ≈0.8. The claim also rides a dense chekhov-explicit stack (three stated seeds on one target: Sanji goes for the creator, and beating the creator removes the construct), which The note is priced 0.75, one step under that band, for two stated reasons: (1) it conjoins two events (Sanji wins, and ZaZa vanishes because of it), and (2) the latest chapter is a counter-beat, with Sanji run through and ZaZa still active. Neither flag that caps confidence applies. This is not a universal-quantifier claim and not a canon-inversion claim.
chekhov-explicit, the rule (Ch. 1193 p.10, VIZ). The giants say outright what ZaZa is and how it ends: “It’s a product of someone’s imagination!! It can’t die… but it WILL disappear if we beat the one who created it!!” The stated route to ending ZaZa is to beat the one who made it, not to fight ZaZa.chekhov-explicit, the volunteer (@1193 p.11, VIZ). Killingham gloats “The light of hope is in a hopeless fight!!” Sanji answers “That… depends on me.” and kicks him skyward.chekhov-explicit, the target (Ch. 1187, provisional wording). The chapter is titled “The Root of the Problem”. Sanji will not kick the woman-shaped God of Rain and goes after “the root of the problem” instead.sbs-leak, why the route is forced (Vol 50 SBS). Oda: Sanji “doesn’t have a ‘policy’ of not kicking women; the truth is that he actually CAN’T kick them.” Against a woman-shaped construct, beating the creator is the only route Sanji has. The story has boxed him into exactly the move the rule rewards. See Sanji Dispels ZaZa By Defeating Its Creator Killingham.prop-tell, the constructs are Killingham’s (Ch. 1142, Ch. 1182). The Sleeptid summons are his dream-made props. ZaZa is captioned as “Killingham’s Sleeptid”, and the earlier fear-monsters followed the same construct grammar. See Killingham’s Fear-Manifestation Power.parallel-arc-structure+negative-space, the obstacle is named and left open (Ch. 1195). In the same chapter, Zoro’s Supreme-King cuts break an immortal Knight’s nerve while Killingham tells Sanji “You lack the color of the Supreme King!!!” The chapter (titled “Weakness”) ends on Ivankov’s remembered verdict, “you are suffering… from a crippling weakness!!!”, without naming the weakness. A named-but-unnamed flaw on a cliffhanger is a setup for overcoming it, not for losing. See Sanji’s Crippling Weakness Locks His Supreme King Haki.
The counter-beat, priced in. @1195 pp.11–12 ZaZa is ridden and commanded by another, uncaptioned Knight (“Onward, God of Rain!!”) and is carrying four children to the port where Sommers waits. Killingham out-fights Sanji and runs him through with Longinus. That is the usual low point before a turnaround, but it opens the two main ways this claim fails: ZaZa reaches the port and leaves by drakkar before Killingham falls, or a different fighter takes Killingham.
Expected mechanism, not scored. Most likely Sanji overcomes the unnamed weakness and his kicks start to carry the color of the Supreme King. The scored claim does not depend on that, and it does not say what the weakness is.
Supporting evidence
- Ch. 1182 — Killingham summons the Rain God by accident as a Sleeptid. The splash caption names it “GOD OF RAIN — ZAZA”. The thread opens here. (No
source/viztag.) - Ch. 1187 — ZaZa floods the Western Village. Sanji will not strike the woman-shaped God of Rain and goes after “the root of the problem”. (Provisional wording; VIZ re-check pending.)
- Ch. 1193 — The stated rule (“It can’t die… but it WILL disappear if we beat the one who created it!!”) and Sanji’s “That… depends on me”, with a kick that launches Killingham skyward. VIZ.
- Ch. 1195 — ZaZa is still active and ridden toward the port. Killingham: “You lack the color of the Supreme King!!!” Sanji’s self-sacrifice confession and Ivankov’s “crippling weakness” cliffhanger. VIZ.
What would refute this
- Someone else beats Killingham. If Dorry, Brogy, Loki, Luffy, Zoro, Gaban or anyone other than Sanji delivers the defeat, the claim is refuted.
- The rule fails. If Killingham is beaten on-page and ZaZa stays, refuted. The construct reading and the 1193 rule would both be wrong.
- ZaZa is removed some other way first. If ZaZa is destroyed, dispelled by another power, or dismissed by Killingham while he is still fighting, all before his defeat, refuted.
- ZaZa turns out to be an independent being. If the page reveals ZaZa as a real Rain-God entity that exists apart from Killingham’s power, refuted.
- Killingham escapes. If he leaves Elbaf undefeated (Holy-Knight withdrawal, Imu’s recall, the drakkar), refuted.
- Partial credit. If Sanji beats Killingham and ZaZa is simply absent from later scenes, with no page tying its disappearance to the defeat, score partially-confirmed.
Time bound: within the Elbaf arc.
