The seed
The alliance has secretly seized the Udon labor camp. The warden Babanuki is tamed with millet dumplings (“It works on animals and animal sorcery users”) and now feeds Queen false reports that the prisoners are locked up. Caribou assisted; Chopperemon cured the camp’s plague; ~3,500 prisoners plus the yakuza bosses of every region are secretly free. The plan is stated outright: “Wait’ll they get a load of us when we show up on the day of the big battle !! Now they think thousands of us prisoners are all locked up, safe and sound!!” An explicit Chekhov setup for a hidden-army reveal at the Fire Festival raid.
