The chapter also installs the broken Log Pose = stranded crew failure-mode (Mr. 9 / Ms. Wednesday’s broken Log Pose drives the plot of the chapter’s second half — the broken instrument is the chapter’s plot-engine for the Straw-Hats-take-on-passengers beat).
