Why this matters
Prop-foreshadow technique: an early-chapter visual prop (the scar) is established with enough panel-weight that its later recontextualization (painted over) is recognizable across hundreds of chapters. The scar’s recurrence in Brook flashbacks (Ch. 486+) makes it the longest-lived prop in the East-Blue arc.
