Why this matters
Two seeds in one vow:
- Hiriluk’s posthumous miracle. Hiriluk dies in this chapter without achieving the cure he vowed. Forward-canon: the Drum arc-finale’s cherry-blossom snowfall over the dying kingdom is his miracle — staged posthumously through Chopper and Kureha. The vow + the death are paired in this chapter to load the arc-finale.
- Chopper’s adult crew-role. Chopper inherits the vow (the chapter title — Carrying On His Will). The Straw Hats’ doctor-slot (Luffy Needs Doctor Crew) is now thematically loaded: not a generic recruit a healer, but a recruit the miracle-cure inheritor. Chopper joining the crew is the slot-payoff for both the recruitment-axis and this vow.
