Why this matters
The man-hating Pirate Empress is undone not by Luffy’s looks (her power proves him wholly immune to lust — see Luffy First Man Immune To Hancocks Allure) but by an act of selfless mercy toward her family — the basis for her aiding his Impel Down/Marineford rescue and her standing loyalty thereafter.
