The seed-chain

The borrowed-blade register

The chapter installs borrowed-blade-three-sword-style as a temporary register with three operational properties:

  1. Discipline is not blade-specific — the three-sword-style can be operationalized with any three katana-class swords. The discipline is philosophy-not-stance (cf. Ch. 33 articulation).
  2. Wado Ichimonji is held in reserve — the Kuina-blade is still with Nami; the chapter does not test the Wado-specifically dimension. The forward-tell: when Zoro recovers Wado, the borrowed-blade register ends and the own-blade register restarts.
  3. The swords-as-interface-vulnerability axiom operates in reverse — the vulnerability of the discipline (can be disarmed) is matched by its strength (can be re-armed by borrowing). The two are the same property.
