Captain Yorki — captain of the Rumbar Pirates, Brook’s old crew, named on-page for the first time in Brook’s Thriller Bark flashback (Ch. 486 p. 19): “Captain Yorki!!! Let’s play him a tune!” The flashback depicts the crew finding and entertaining the baby Laboon before leaving him at the Twin Cape. His fate is not stated this chapter (status: unknown). Previously referenced only as the forward-canonical captain on Rumbar Pirates.

- Named on-page as the captain of the Rumbar Pirates in Brook’s flashback — “Captain Yorki!!! Let’s play him a tune!” (p. 19).

Thriller Bark — Brook’s Rumbar flashback, in full (Ch. 487) — full name; the crew named; the plague-split
- Full name spoken on-page (p. 9): “The name’s Calico Yorki. I’ve got quite a reputation on the western sea.” A boisterous, kid-at-heart leader; rising bounty poster shown — “DEAD OR ALIVE — YORKI” (p. 16).
- Names/affirms the crew “Rumbar Pirates” on-page (p. 17): “We’re the Rumbar Pirates, remember?! We bring smiles to kids’ faces!!” — the crew’s motto stated.
- Leads the adoption and naming of the baby Laboon and stages the Promise at the Twin Cape (pp. 4-11), entrusting the whale to (the younger) Crocus.
- Plague-stricken; splits the crew — when a jungle-contracted, untreatable plague infects a dozen of the crew including himself, he refuses to risk spreading it: he takes the infected half on one ship to exit the Grand Line via the Calm Belt, orders Brook and the healthy half forward with a new ship (“Give my regards to Laboon. DON’T DISAPPOINT THEM!!”), and asks Brook to send him off with “Binks’s Brew” (pp. 17-19). His fate after the split is left unresolved on-page. - Named again (p. 5): a Rumbar crewmate wonders, “I wonder if Captain Yorki made it safely out of the Calm Belt?” — “Only the sea would know!!” — re-affirming that Yorki had already split from the crew (he was therefore NOT among the crew annihilated by poison, p. 8) and leaving his fate explicitly open.
