Reached through the prison’s sewers and “paths that don’t exist” (p. 9); unknown to the guards, who believe vanished prisoners were dragged to hell (the “Demon’s Invitation”). An okama paradise of food, drink, games and freedom ruled by Emporio Ivankov. Prisoners who reach it become “New Kama” — “new humans” who have transcended gender.
