- Descriptive — possessive structure naming the house by its inhabitant. 'Bell-mère' is French *belle-mère* ('mother-in-law' / step-mother), encoding her status as Nami and Nojiko's adoptive (not biological) mother. The house itself is the household-of-origin where that adoptive-mother covenant was enacted. See Bell-mère for the eponym.

The household’s economic basis is the tangerine grove; the family lives at the outskirts of Coco Village (distant enough that Arlong’s tribute-collection patrol had to actively search for it on the day of Bell-mère’s death, pages 4-6).
Established on-page in Ch. 78. Identified as Nami’s childhood home and “the house where that witch grew up” per Nojiko in Ch. 70 page 18 — the same building. Bell-mère is killed inside or beside this house (Ch. 78 page 16).
