This explains the Ch. 133-135 kingdom of doctors → one doctor left premise. Drum was historically a country of doctors; Wapol’s reign systematically eliminated them with a disobeying the king charge against anyone treating the people without his sanction. By the present day (Ch. 132+), only Dr. Kureha — too remote to be reached, too eccentric to be caught — survives.
