Why this matters

This explains the Ch. 133-135 kingdom of doctors → one doctor left premise. Drum was historically a country of doctors; Wapol’s reign systematically eliminated them with a disobeying the king charge against anyone treating the people without his sanction. By the present day (Ch. 132+), only Dr. Kureha — too remote to be reached, too eccentric to be caught — survives.

Cross-link Doctor Hunt Wapol Purged All Doctors Save Twenty Backstory — the structural Doctor Hunt axis named in Ch. 141 is now grounded in a specific entrapment-doctrine. Ch. 145 shows the how: fake summons + show-trial.

Resonates with broader One Piece patterns of authoritarian regimes purging healers / scientists / knowledge-bearers as a means of population-control (the Ohara incident; the Iceburg shipwrights; the Vegapunk arc).
