Why this matters
The burned-flag beat couples with Ch. 134’s nameless country / kingdom-name-erasure thread — the citizens have unnamed the kingdom (Ch. 133); Kureha has unflagged it (Ch. 141). Both gestures clear the symbolic ground for the kingdom’s renaming. The pirate-flag Kureha raises in place of the Drum Kingdom flag is consistent with the heart-skull motif Kureha embraces (Ch. 0139 hospital-curtain) — a personal banner replacing the national one.
The double-erasure (name + flag) anticipates Oda’s symbolic restoration pattern: kingdoms in transition are unnamed/unflagged on-page first, then renamed/reflagged at the arc’s resolution. Sakura Kingdom will inherit Hiriluk’s cherry-blossom symbol as its new identity — the medicine that will save this kingdom (Hiriluk Quack Doctor Cherry-Blossom Dreamer Install) literally becomes the kingdom’s new name.
