destination-vector. Pre-loads the Smoker-vs-Luffy Alabasta confrontation and the broader
Marines-and-Strawhats-converge-on-the-same-arc structural grammar — a recurring pattern
where a parallel-tracking antagonist faction arrives at the same arc by independent means.
The chapter layers dramatic irony: Sanji’s false all dead report deceives Baroque Works
in the very chapter the Marines learn the true Strawhat–Vivi link.
